About
Yuri Sabatini is an Italian lyric tenor based in London, regularly performing at historical venues, including the Brocket Hall, the Mansion House, The London Stock Exchange and the Guildhall in the City of London.
Acclaimed for his warm belcanto sound, his stage presence and his top Cs, he has sung principal roles with opera companies across the UK, including Elvino (La Sonnambula), Nemorino (l’Elisir d’Amore), Arturo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Malcolm (Macbeth), Almaviva (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Ferdinand (The Tempest) and Don Jose (Carmen).
Yuri regularly appears on the concert platform throughout UK, Italy, France and Germany and he is invited to perform for distinguished audiences at exclusive parties, weddings, functions and corporate events.
Yuri was awarded Best Male Singer in the Royal Opera House BP Summer Screens Competition in 2008, which saw him singing to over 10,000 people in London’s Trafalgar Square. This accolade saw him working alongside Artistic Director of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme, David Gowland.
Following this important experience, Yuri has carried on working with renowned teachers including Ryland Davies, Russell Smythe and, more recently, Robert Alderson.
In 2017, he was also a semi-finalist in the Mario Lanza Singing Competition.
In 2018, Yuri starred in his very own sold-out concert “One Enchanted Evening, Yuri Sabatini in concert” at Devonshire Square (Liverpool Street), featuring the Docklands Sinfonia Strings conducted by Spencer Down.
